Me as Trainer

I think I was born and brought up in a Foundry (our family business my grandfather had founded.) There was one unit near our home so whenever I got time I would like to visit there. There was so much activity going on there it all simply amazed me. So, after completing my studies I knew that I was going to be an entrepreneur. I joined my father’s business of Job-shop for Shot blasting and heat treatment. I was always inspired to do something new, so we started Shot peening which was quite unventured area in our field. It was the time when many of the new generation would not choose to be in their family business, rather take up a well-paid job. Business as they say is a full-time job! You must have the ability to run the company almost like a one man show. What gave me happiness was the smile of the customers as they add value to their products through our process. Being able to employ few people would be so satisfying, of being able to give them a reason for to wake up every m

Me as Singer

Me as Singer Sometimes I think singing is a form of art that connects you to the eternal music. Music has no language, it has connected different cultures, languages and people across the world. I love to sing because it adds a dimension to my expression. It allows you to convey the emotions powerfully.   When I was in the school, I remember singing in the classroom and everyone listening in a pin drop silence! I used to win 1st prize every year in singing competition. Later during my college days I developed a liking for guitar which was simply to accompany me while singing. I would sit hours alone on my terrace with guitar, humming popular Bollywood numbers.   Like everyone I grew up listening to Bollywood music and was also inclined to gazal’s by Jagjit Singh. Following my favorite playback singers had been my favorite hobby of childhood. It was all so much inspiring to me. I would sing cover of contemporary romantic songs on guitar and share with my friends over Facebo

Me as Artist

Me as Artist I remember my early tryst with sketching and painting. Every time I remember it I yearn to live those moments again. I would sit in my room on the study table with a blank A4 size paper, there would be colors and set of paint brushes. Once I would start creating something time would just flow fast… I mean it would take me deep into the midnight and I wonder the experience of oneness with it.   Then after whenever I would find time, I would go back to painting to re-live those moments. I have developed a great liking for charcoal, and pencil lately. Portraits and figure study are my favorite subjects sometimes I even make caricatures and cartoons.   For me painting is like meditation, your simply recreate what you see. Without any meaning… you observe an object or a person and create it exactly the way you perceive it. It simply is. For every person it may carry a different meaning. It is a great form of creation!   An artist is an observer, a creator who creat

Poet Rishabh K. Shah

Me As Poet I started writing poems when I was 20, I got my inspiration from a friend who wrote wonderful two liners. When I shared my poems with friends and family, they really liked it and encouraged me to keep writing.   So I allowed myself to flow and express my feelings in form of poetry. It was surprising that I could write so easily in Gujarati language my mother tongue, despite having my education in English. May be this was because I would read a lot of gujarati books from my fathers personal library.   Poetries for me are a conversation with the heart. So many a times when I come across someone who writes I always want to encourage them to keep writing. Keep their conversation on with the conscious with the self.   Poetries have the power to say a lot in very few words. It compels one to go beyond what can be seen. Words or language were invented to create and express. You can create people the way you want them to be just through your language. We are just emp
